Jim Gottron, 86, is a regular fixture in Toledo’s music scene, performing regularly at the Toledo Club and many other venues.
But while he’s an accomplished pianist, it’s been his pitch-perfect ability to keep pianos in tune no matter how many artists have given spirited performances on the keyboard that really stands out. Some piano tuners must have complete silence when working, but Gottron has gotten used to drums and horns and voices blaring around him as he works. And he doesn’t have to use newfangled apps or tools to help him.
